1. What This Reference Is

Patterson Residents Directory describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, portals, libraries, and historical collections that may show who has owned property, appeared in a public record, or lived in Patterson in a stated period. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with Patterson, Stanislaus County, California agencies, courts, libraries, or custodians.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or information obtained through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, republish, or copy the content at scale.
  • Disrupt the pages, search tools, hosting, or security controls.

3. No Consumer Reports

Patterson Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. The reference pages and linked search results are not consumer reports. They may not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Portals and Services

County and state portals, court searches, libraries, sponsored result tools, and other external services set their own terms, prices, availability, and privacy rules. Patterson Residents Directory does not control those destinations and is not responsible for their content, operation, or data practices.

5. No Warranty

The pages are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a fact is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose. External links may change, close, or return different results. Confirm important information with the original custodian.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from access to the reference or a linked resource, including action taken from a record discovered through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless the operators from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your unlawful use of the pages or violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Linking

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Ordinary links and short attributed quotations are welcome. Full-page republication, systematic copying, and commercial reuse of the content are not permitted without written consent.

9. Changes to These Terms

New wording may be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means that the revised terms are accepted from that point forward.

10. Suspension or Blocking

Access may be blocked or restricted for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, threatens another person, or interferes with the reference. The operators may act without advance notice.

11. California Law and Public Records

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. California’s Public Records Act, Government Code division 10, sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs many requests to state and local custodians. It does not make Patterson Residents Directory a custodian, guarantee disclosure, or override an applicable exemption. California’s Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.100, governs covered-business privacy rights and does not erase government public records.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The invalid provision is limited only to the extent necessary.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a county, city, court, voter, vital, or historical record should go to the custodian named on the relevant page.
