Information Sent Directly
Information typed into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. Patterson Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address contains whatever the sender chooses to include and is used to respond to that message.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may retain ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Those records help maintain the service and understand overall page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where used, advertising measurement. The reference does not use those logs to create a personal Patterson resident profile.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the pages, diagnose failures, measure aggregate traffic, answer messages, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold by Patterson Residents Directory, and individual user profiles are not built from ordinary page visits.
Links to Custodians and Services
Pages link to Stanislaus County portals, Patterson city forms, California agencies, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each destination has its own privacy statement and controls. What a reader submits to an external custodian or service is governed by that destination’s policy, not this one.
Who May Process Logs
Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising service providers may process the technical information described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not disclosed for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The reference is served over an encrypted connection when supported by the hosting configuration. Technical logs are retained only as long as the operational purpose requires. There are no Patterson Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored here.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may contact us and request deletion of that message or local record.
California Privacy Choices
California Civil Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.100, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, limit sensitive information, opt out of sale or sharing, and receive equal treatment, subject to exceptions. The California Attorney General’s CCPA guidance is a useful state explanation. Covered businesses generally respond within 45 days and may provide a noticed additional 45 days when allowed. Because Patterson Residents Directory keeps little information, a request usually concerns a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page.
California’s Delete Act created the California Privacy Protection Agency DROP portal. It launched January 1, 2026; registered brokers began processing demands August 1, 2026. A verified California resident can submit one demand for participating brokers. Those commercial-data rights do not erase public records held by Patterson, Stanislaus County, or California agencies.
Requests to remove a government deed, assessment, court record, voter record, or certificate must go to the custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code division 10, sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs access and exemptions for many state and local records; it does not give this reference control over those records.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted on this page with its updated wording. Continuing to use Patterson Residents Directory after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
